Committee 2017-2018

 Chairman – Maurice Ryan  

Maurice is in his first year as Chairman, having served as Vice Chairman last season. Maurice has been a club member for a number of years and involved in many club projects including the 40th Anniversary Dinner, Tag Tournaments and other fundraising events.

Maurice plays in the backrow for our 1st XV.
 Vice Chairman – Ross Durnin 

Ross is another long serving Stillorgan RFC member and has played for the club for many years.  He has previously held positions on the club committee, and plays in the forwards for our 1st XV and 2nd XV.

Ross's contribution is highly valued, and his efforts play a central role in the operation of our club.
 Secretary – Matt Gray 

Matt has been elected to the position of Club Secretary for the 2017-18 season. Originally from Leitrim, Matt plays in the forwards and has been a player at the club for a number of years.

 Treasurer – Ross O’Donovan

A former club captain, Ross has been a familiar face about the club for a long time. Ross has represented the club at all levels and continues to make appearances for the 3rd XV.

Ross is responsible for the finances of the club, and coordinates subscriptions, fundraising and sponsorship ventures. He also takes care of the distribution of international tickets to club members.

 Director of Rugby – Johnny 'Pops' O’Dwyer

Pops has been appointed to the role of Director of Rugby from the 2014/15 season onwards. Having been an ever present at the club for all but 2 of its 40 year history there can be no better man for this job! John is a former club captain and coach. Pops has played across all of our teams and has deputised in most positions from 1 to 15!

Pops' role is to ensure that our coaching structure continues to provide the best possible preparation for players for match day.

 2nd XV Captain – Brian Daly

Brian has been a member of Stillorgan RFC for a few years and this year takes the mantle as captain of our 2nd XV. Brian is a highly regarded player, generally plying his trade in the front-row.  

The club wishes Brian and the 2nd XV a successful season ahead. 
 3rd XV Captain – To be Confirmed

Our 3rd XV captain for the forthcoming season will be announced soon. 

Public Relations & Marketing – Niall Martin

Niall is responsible for the marketing, new player recruitment and promotion of the club. Since appointment  Niall has launched our new website, newsletter, managed social media and  writes articles for local and national media. Niall won 'Leinster Rugby PRO of the Month' in September 2014 and followed this up by winning 'Leinster Rugby PRO of the Season' for 2014/15.

Niall plays for our 2nd XV and 3rd XV.

 Events Organiser – Sean Furlong

A native of New Ross, Sean has been at the club for a number of seasons and is a former Club Captain. Sean played for New Ross RFC at a high level for many years before joining Stillorgan RFC after his move to Dublin. Sean plays at inside centre for our 1st XV.

 Referee Liaison Officer - Gerard Cregan

Ger is our Referee Liaison Officer. With the Club for many years as a player, coach and latterly vice chairman, Ger has been elected to the position of Referee Liaison for the coming season. In the last few years Ger has taken up refereeing, and has presided over Metro league, womens, underage and tag rugby matches. Ger also provides referee expertise at training, in order to prepare our teams for match day.

 Fixtures Secretary - Annraoi De Valera

Annraoi has been with the club for many years and is now in his first season as Fixtures Secretary. This position is crucial to the effective operation of the club.

A very highly regarded club member, Annraoi has played for all three Stillorgan teams. Giles' preferred position is prop / hooker, and he is a regular starter for our 1st XV in this position.
